After activating the Fungal Fields Lesser Keyflame in northern Hallowfall, players can purchase Darkroot Grippers from an NPC that spawns, Chef Dinaire, for 3 Radiant Remnants. Using this item gives an 8 hour buff and allows the player to interact with Shadowrooted Vines. Pulling vines near the Stillstone Pond has a chance to drop this pet.
