as other commentors have stated. very low drop rate. wowhead has it listed at 4% but I dont think its even that high. I have killed the Caverndark Terror at least 50 times and have yet to see the pet drop. There is one on AH on my server but...94k. I don't think so =D

I'm truely convinced that the drop rate is bugged....Killed it almost everyday since patch dropped and nothing..

I dont know if it's me... probably Im not lucky :D

I kill the Cavendark Terror with 3 different alts, every single day since the patch, and I never drop the pet.  

 

 

The Cavendark Terror got a fast spawn rate (about 30-40mins), but the pet's drop rate is very low. Also, the Cavendark Nightmare is no longer sold in AH on my server. I consider it very rare, at least on my server.

I got mine a few days back. It spawned in the first pool, between the two elites. I was extremely lucky I guess. Doesn't change the fact that I really love the looks of this little creep. I hope it will make a good PvP pet to surprise with every once in a while....

Can't say anything about drop rate though, I had it in 6th kill (second spawn on this place)

I guess that droprate is quite low for this pet.

Or maybe I am just unlucky?

Caverndark Terror has 3 spawn points.

All in the lower level of Chitterspine Grotto.

1 in the middle of the 2nd pool.

2 in the first pool.

In the first pool, it can either spawn between 2 elites  a bit in and close to the cave wall.

Or it can spawn just after the ramp down to the first pool.

All 3 spawn points is below the water level.
