In our continued effort to bring you up-to-date pet information, we've thoroughly reviewed our pet database and updated many of the tooltips.
Thanks to data from Wowhead, we've updated the Approximate Drop Rate for the majority of dropped pets (while double-checking any we didn't update).
The result is an accurate, easy-to-read "1 in X" drop rate for nearly every dropped pet in the game.
A few pets may still be missing drop rate information, but we haven't overlooked them. Because these pets are relatively new or come from a source that may not be easily tracked, they will require more time for data to accumulate. We'll update these pets once this information becomes available.
More Website Updates Coming Soon™
Another round of website updates for WarcraftPets is currently in the works. One such change involves the way we calculate Pet Score, hinted at here by Breanni.
Our goal is to set these updates live within the next couple of months. What other changes and new features will we be adding? Stay tuned to find out!

Collection Import Bug After Patch 5.4.7
February 20, 2014
UPDATE: It looks as though the bug may have been fixed. If you continue to experience an error when reimporting your collection, please post about it here.
There's currently an issue with the Armory affecting anyone who attempts to update their pet collection. It's a glitch on Blizzard's end following the release of patch 5.4.7 on Tuesday, February 18th.
How does this affect you?
When you try to update your collection on our site, you'll likely receive a "Character unavailable" error. Typically this indicates a problem with your Armory profile. If you were to try to pull your profile up in the Armory, chances are, it won't load.
Blasted murlocs!
The error must be fixed on Blizzard's end before you will be able to successfully import your pet collection and correctly reflect your in-game progress.
When will it be fixed?
Blizzard is aware of the problem and currently looking for a solution. For more information, check the following thread on the official WoW forums:
Discussion of this Issue in WoW General Forum
There's no ETA on a fix, but they are working it. So hopefully SOON™
We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, this issue is out of our control.
Why not bring back the WCP Addon?
With the increase in realm merges and Armory errors following those merges, more and more of our users have been running into issues when trying to (re)import their collections.
It's been suggested that we restore the WarcraftPets Express Addon that we used to offer to enable importing via a unique code assigned in-game by the addon.
We may consider this option. But for now, our hope is that Blizzard will continue to repair and maintain the Armory, as it offers our site (and many others) data and functionality that would be difficult to replicate via an addon alone. More info

Possible WoD Abomination Pet, Pet Battle Hotfixes, and More!
February 27, 2014
It's been an interesting week in pet news...
Abomination Pet Coming in WoD?
Senior Game Designer, Jonathan LeCraft, recently Tweeted a little sneak peak of a possible pet coming in Warlords of Draenor.
Meet the Weebomination! This little monster is still a work in progress, as its still lacking a complete movest. LeCraft has openly discussed with players on Twitter what abilities might fit.
There will be more information on where the Weebomination comes from in the near future, we hope!
Treasure Goblin In-Game
Blizzard has started to mail out the Treasure Goblin to players that purchased the Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Digital Deluxe.
The armory has not been updated with this pet yet, so it will not appear as collected when updating collections. We hope that the Treasure Goblin will be added to the armory soon!
Recent Pet Battle Hotfixes

Wild Pet Stat Discrepancies
It was recently brought to our attention that our stat calculator for the Shimmershell Snail was showing incorrect health values when compared with the wild pets.
Our Lead Web Developer, Weena, looked into this matter and found that the stats are correct. After some testing we discovered that the snail's health changes once it is captured.
"So possibly there is an unknown modifier for pets before you capture them."
This unknown modifier may also apply to other wild pets. Once a player adds the wild pet to their Pet Journal, however, the health, speed, and attack values should correspond with the stats listed on WarcraftPets.

- Resolved an issue where players on some Battlegroups were unable to queue for PvP Pet Battles.
- Elemental pets should now correctly be taking less damage while the Sandstorm effect is active.
- Resolved an issue that was causing Battle Pet abilities with a high miss chance to hit more often than intended.
