We're excited to announce the official light-weight addon for WarcraftPets — WarcraftPets Express!
What's it do?
This addon, created by our own Weena, allows pet collectors who track and share their collections via WarcraftPets to easily import their in-game collection to our site. No longer will you have to sift through a 150+ list of pets and strain to remember whether you have each one. This mod does it all for you! It's a huge time saver (especially for new members) and it'll keep your collection accurate.
Note that you'll still need to use our regular collection update to maintain your exclusions list. You may also prefer the old method to tweak your collection after the bulk of it has been saved.
Attention Addon Authors!
If you maintain your own pet addon and would like to add the ability for players to update their pet collections to our site, check out our simple instructions.

Children's Week Northrend Bug
May 02, 2010
UPDATE: Sadly, it looks as though this issue will not be resolved this year:
To clarify, this issue won't be able to be resolved for Children's Week this year. If you completed the quest previously you won't be able to complete it again for the other pet this year.
This is sad news, indeed.
Happy Children's Week! ...well, sort of. Looks like there's a bug with the orphan quests in Dalaran. If you did the quests last time around, you aren't being offered the quests this time to get the other pet. Here's what Blizzard has stated:
[T]his is an issue we are presently looking into. At this time, players who completed the Dalaran Children's Week quests will be unable to re-accept the quests. We hope to resolve this issue as soon as possible, but we do not have an ETA to provide at this time.
We will surely let you know as soon are more information becomes available.
And of course, we at WarcraftPets will do the same. We're hopeful that Blizzard will have this bug fixed before the event ends. It's logical to assume it will be addressed during Tuesday's maintenance. So enjoy the other CW quests and sit tight... more likely than not, a solution is coming.

Crafted Pets in Cataclysm
May 12, 2010
Blizzard recently posted a Cataclysm Professions Preview that includes some exciting news about vanity pets. Engineers will be getting one or two new pet schematics and enchanters will gain access to a new pet formula!
We don't know yet what these new pets will be. Obviously the engineering pets will be mechanicals of some sort. Rumor has it that one may be a mechanical rabbit. The enchanting pet is quite the mystery. Maybe a walking bucket to go along with the Enchanted Broom?
- Engineering is still being designed, but expect new unpredictable gadgets to use on yourself or enemies. Toys, explosives, and even a new vanity pet or two. Oh, and powerful mechanical bows and crossbows in addition to guns.
- An enchanter vanity pet is being added.

Arena Tourney 2010: The Return of Murkimus!
May 24, 2010
UPDATE: Just a quick reminder — the dates that 50 rated 3v3 2010 Tournament arena matches must be played begin tomorrow, May 25th, and end June 21st (source). Best of luck to all who enter!
We have great news for anyone that missed getting a Murkimus the Gladiator pet during last year's Arena Tournament. This little guy will be returning in the 2010 Arena Tournament and will be much easier to obtain this time around!
Simply compete in 50 matches (last year it was 200!) during the final month of the tournament qualification period and you will earn a Murkimus of your very own. Registration is $20 USD, though Canadian residents can opt to write an essay instead of paying the entry fee.
Qualification Prize – In Game Pet: Each Eligible Participant that competes in fifty (50) matches during the final four weeks of the Qualification round of the Tournament shall be eligible to receive a unique, in-game "pet," that the Eligible Participant may associate with characters on the World of Warcraft account registered by the Eligible Participant. The pet will be mailed to the character designated by the Eligible Participant during the registration process within four weeks following the Qualification Round of the Tournament.
Good luck and have fun! Or at least try to stay sane... BWAHAHAHAHA!
