...Oh my! We have a lot of updates on these previously reported upcoming pets.

Grunty
You can now reserve your Grunty the Murloc Marine by ordering the BlizzCon 2009 live Internet stream. If you are planning to get Grunty through the Blizzcon DIRECTV promotion, you must sign up for new service by July 31. Existing DIRECTV customers will be able to order the Pay Per View coverage starting on August 9.

Raptors
Many of the new raptor hatchlings have been discovered on the PTR. They are all currently BoU. Those that are dropped by rare raptors currently have a 100% drop rate. Here is a list of the ones found so far:

• Darting Hatchling - Dark orange raptor that occasionally runs away leaving a trail of dust; dropped by Dart (rare).
• Deviate Hatchling - Purple raptor dropped by elite raptors inside Wailing Caverns.
• Leaping Hatchling - Dark blue raptor that occasionally wanders off then leaps to your feet; dropped by Takk the Leaper (rare).
• Obsidian Hatchling - Gray raptor sold by Breanni.
• Ravasaur Hatchling - Green raptor dropped by Ravasaur Matriarch (rare).
• Razormaw Hatchling - Light orange raptor that occasionally screeches; dropped by Razormaw Matriarch (rare).
• Razzashi Hatchling - Red raptor dropped by Razzashi Raptor.

Orphans
It looks like Northrend Children's Week will finally be coming to a server near you! You can choose to look after either an Oracle or Wolvar orphan, regardless of your current standings with their corresponding factions. After completing the chain of quests, you will receive a new orphan pet in the mail - a Curious Oracle Hatchling or a Curious Wolvar Pup.

Other News
As reported previously, the next patch will give you the option to upgrade your Argent Squire or Gruntling with a mount and access to a bank, mailbox, or vendor. The [Argent Pony Bridle] can be purchased for 150 Champion's Seals. Once upgraded, your squire will mount up on his pony whenever you mount up. He can grant you access to the bank, mailbox, or vendor for 3 minutes once every 4 hours. This video shows him in action.

Finally, the new Shimmering Wyrmling pet will be available for 40 Champion's Seals. It currently looks the same as the Mana Wyrmling. Hopefully that will change in a future PTR build.

Wow... it's been a quiet month for vanity pets—the proverbial calm before the storm. I have a feeling that August will bring us plenty of new pets and pet-related news. For the time being, we do have a couple of reminders to issue.

First up, there's only one day left to order series 1 of FigurePrints new FigurePets collectibles. As of August 1^st, the first three pets will no longer be available. So don't miss your opportunity to collect these gorgeous display pieces.

Secondly, if you play on a US server and haven't been stocking up on Battle Fuel to power your Battle-Bot, you ought to get started. As of August 20^th, you will no longer be able to obtain the fuel. It's possible that Blizzard will enable an in-game mechanic to allow players to restock, but it's equally possible that once the promotion ends, Battle Fuel will be a limited commodity. So to be sure your Battle-Bot is never running on empty, log into the Mountain Dew Game Fuel site daily to get 5x blue or red fuel. And don't forget to log into your characters on the same day to collect your fuel from the mail.

Bottom Line: If you have any interest in obtaining extra stock of Battle Fuel or FigurePets collectibles, now's the time to act. Luck be with you!
