Just got one. Flew to the location and the icon popped up on my screen saying it was a primalist event. The pets were easy to get. All level 1s. No blues. There was nothing on the main map to say there was an event there. Had to be at the location. 

Finally got mine. There are five spawns and as you battle each one a new one appears. Non stop battling. You also will see other Barrier Hermit and Shore Butterflies as well as Golden Beetles. Best to just battle here and you'll probably get rares of all of them before getting your raptor.
